Our story ...

It all started in 2016, behind the bar at Murmure Café. That’s where Aïvi and Gaëtan met — two kindred spirits brought together by a shared love for great drinks, good food, and the kind of moments that linger long after the glass is empty. A friendship was born, along with the first spark of something bigger.

Years later, in 2021, that spark began to take shape. Gaëtan vinified his first 300 kg of Gamay from Beaujolais, not in a winery, but in a garden in Uccle. It was raw, hands-on, and full of promise. Aïvi soon joined the adventure, and together they started experimenting — just the two of them, 150 kg of Belgian hybrid grapes, and a head full of ideas.

By 2023, the pace quickened. With half a ton of Gamay from the Loire, they began scaling up, refining their methods, and pushing their creative boundaries. Intuition met technique, and what began as a side project started to look — and taste — like a real future.

Then came 2024. Waaïn Kameraden opened its doors in Brussels: not just an urban winery, but a playground for fermentation, a gathering place for the curious, and a celebration of everything that happens when passion is left to ferment.

Our values

At Waaïn Kameraden, we believe in craftsmanship, sustainability, and authenticity. Curiosity and innovation drive us to explore new ways of fermenting and sharing unique flavors. Community is at our core — we bring people together, foster conviviality, and make natural wine accessible without pretension. Above all, we stay true to our rebellious, free-spirited approach: serious about quality, never about ourselves.

Our vision

We envision a world where local and sustainable production is the norm, and where taste is the centerpiece of the drinking experience. Our goal is to inspire a culture of exploration and sharing — one where wine is more than a product; it's an invitation to discover, connect, and enjoy. We want to push boundaries, keeping curiosity, freedom, and a rebellious spirit at the heart of everything we do.

Our mission

Waaïn Kameraden crafts high-quality, artisanal wines and fermented beverages in Brussels, using sustainable methods and prioritizing taste and conviviality. We spread the word about natural wines through education — without dogma — and build a vibrant community around living drinks. With a free, curious, and rebellious spirit, we put people first, always serious about quality but never about ourselves.
